Canadian chef Kenneth Law is suspected of selling poisonous substances to people who want to commit suicide in regarding 40 countries and assisting them to commit suicide. The number of deadly packages exceeds 1,200. The British National Criminal Service revealed that there were regarding 232 people on the purchase list, 88 of whom were dead, and an investigation has been launched.
Cannislow, 57, who worked as a cook in a high-end hotel kitchen, was arrested in Canada in May, according to The Guardian. He is accused of selling more than 1,200 deadly packages to suicide seekers in 40 countries. However, following his arrest, Cannislow denied selling products to assist others in committing suicide. But he is understood to have boasted to an undercover Times reporter that he was doing “God’s work”.
The British National Criminal Agency (NCA) received intelligence from the Canadian government in April this year that a large number of British people had purchased drugs to help them commit suicide from Canadian websites. There were regarding 232 people on the purchase list, 88 of whom had died. The British National Criminal Service stated that if Cannis Rozen is involved in the deaths of these British people, he will be extradited to the UK, and assisting suicide in the UK can be punished with up to 14 years in prison.
“We express our deepest sympathy to the family of the deceased,” said Craig Turner, deputy director of the British National Criminal Service. He said the case is currently under investigation.
