Massey Ferguson brings innovation in planting at Expointer 2023

For the fair in Esteio Massey Ferguson, a reference in the Brazilian agricultural market, takes to Expointer (Esteio, RS, from 8/26 to 9/3) its new innovative planting solution, formed by the Momentum planter with the lowest number of lines and the MF 8S tractor. The set has technologies that are integrated to facilitate the operation and bring excellent productivity results.

“We listened to our customer and brought options to support more segments and all sizes of producers, who need a smaller machine, but don’t give up high technology. Our goal is to offer a smart, high-quality planting solution that delivers added value and with less impact on the environment,” says Everton Alonso, Marketing Director Massey Ferguson.

to facilitate operation and increase productivity results

With an option of 18, 20, 22 and 24 rows and spacing of 45 cm and 50 cm, the new version of the Momentum planter has a weight distribution system across the chassis, which divides the load evenly, resulting in better performance in the hilly areas, providing homogeneous depth of seed deposition and improvement in planting quality.

Another novelty is the fertilizer system, which now operates with vApply Granular, a Precision Planting® fertilizer control technology that manages the fertilizer in two sections, reducing fertilizer waste by up to 50%. To provide agility in moving the machine or working in different areas of the property, the planter is 3.6 meters long.

Innovation solution in planting composed by the new Momentum and the MF 8S tractor

The new models make the perfect combo with the MF 8S tractor, winner of Tractor of the Year 2023. Both have technologies that are integrated, such as the automatic pilot, which guarantees the ideal parallelism between the planting lines, and the fleet management system , which monitors machine performance, as in a Formula 1 car, and transmits all information from the machine to a center that helps assess the condition of the equipment, enabling the dealership to offer personalized service to the producer, avoiding unexpected stops.

With 265 hp, the MF 8S has the exclusive Protect-U design, with 24 centimeters of space between the cab and the engine, which isolates the internal environment from unwanted noise, heat and vibrations, offering silent operation and operator comfort. The new Dyna-7 automatic transmission provides easy and efficient operation with a total of 28 forward and 28 reverse speeds in four groups and seven non-stop gears.

Other highlights of Massey Ferguson’s planting innovation line at Expointer

In harvesters, the highlight at the fair is the MF 9595, which offers the modern V-Cool cooling system, exclusive to Massey Ferguson, which provides thirty minutes more, on average, of machine availability, as it drastically reduces the need for cleaning of radiators. The model has the exclusive 25ft Draper platform, which provides homogeneous delivery of the harvested material, with less losses and increased productivity.

For spraying, the brand brings the MF 500R series, with the new AWD Smart Drive transmission, which can operate on slopes of up to 36%. The exclusive LiquidLogic® system has among its functions the recovery of the product from the spraying system into the tank following each application or product change, providing economy and sustainability.
In the hay line, the MF RB4160V Protec baler has the integrated packaging that wraps the hay in motion as a differential. The implement has higher working speed and reduced maintenance and noise levels. To ensure smooth unloading of the bale, the wrapper table placed close to the ground minimizes rolling speed and maintains the ideal bale shape.

Visitors will be able to visit Mafê. Massey’s new digital specialist will be responsible for the stand’s digital communication, in addition to being present on the brand’s social networks, bringing information regarding launches, technological innovations and clarifying doubts for rural producers.
