Six reinforcements: what River spent in the market
It was one of the markets with the most movements since Jorge Brito is president of River. And it was to be expected, because several cycles of soccer players are being fulfilled and it was time to make an important replacement in certain positions on the field. With this premise, the Millionaire finalized the arrival of six incorporations in this market (which is still open), five for the immediate future and one for 2024.
There were more departures than arrivals, but River always opted to prioritize quality over quantity, although players of different present and caliber were incorporated. Three former footballers of the club who all arrived with the pass in their possession as Ramiro Funes Mori, Manuel Lanzini and Gonzalo Martinez and three definitive purchases such as those of Facundo Colidio, Sebastian Boselli and Nicholas Fonseca.

How much did River spend on the transfer market?
Ramiro Funes Mori: arrived free from Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia and signed a contract until December 31, 2026. The club only takes care of his salary for as long as he remains.
Facundo Colidio: River bought 100% of the pass from Inter Italy for US$ 4,600,000 and signed a contract until December 31, 2025. The operation was done in three installments: 1,700,000 at the signature, 1,000 ,000 in mid-2024 and 1,900,000 in early 2025. Inter retains a capital gain of 10%.
Manuel Lanzini: joined on loan (the player owns his own pass) until June 30, 2024, free of charge and with no purchase option. River will only pay his contract.
Gonzalo Martínez: arrives free from Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia and signed until December 2024, with the possibility of extending it until December 2025.
Sebastián Boselli: the Uruguayan central marker arrived at the Biggest from Defensor Sporting in exchange for 3.7 million dollars for 70% of the pass. He will sign a contract until December 31, 2026.
Nicolás Fonseca: the midfielder became a River footballer who bought 60% of his pass for US$2,400,000. He will stay in Montevideo Wanderers until the end of the year and only in 2024 will he join the Millionaire.
In total, only transfers, River promised to spend a little more than 10 million dollars between Colidio, Boselli and Fonseca.
