Cycling is once once more in mourning. After an accident in training on Wednesday, young Belgian talent Tijl De Decker died of his injuries on Friday.
Quickly taken to hospital, he had been placed in an artificial coma by doctors following losing a lot of blood.
Tijl De Decker was a great talent in Belgian cycling. Last spring, he won Paris-Roubaix in the category of hopes.
Last Sunday, he finished fourth in the Belgian championship in the under-23 category.
At 22, he was preparing to step into the professional team of Lotto Dstny next year.
