The application Calendar (Calendar) for Mac lets you keep track of all your past and future events in a very easy and intuitive way — all, of course, always synced across all your devices that use the same Apple ID.
In addition to allowing you to activate alerts in the form of sound messages, you can also be notified in two other ways: sending an email to your inbox or opening a previously chosen file.
Check out how to use this trick! ????️
Open the Calendar app on your Mac and create an event as usual, or expand the details of one that’s already been created. In the latter case, just double-click on it or click hard on a Force Touch trackpad like the Magic Trackpad, for example.
Then select the date or alert shown, use the drop-down menu next to “Alert” and choose “Custom…”. Under “Message with sound”, choose one of the two other options: “Email” or “Open file”.
If you choose the second option, you can use the “Calendar” drop-down menu and choose “Other…” to browse the Finder and select what you want to open — by default, this will happen with the event itself in the Calendar app.
Pretty cool, don’t you think?! ????????
