Tecno Pova 5 Free Fire: an intermediate cell phone for those who focus on games | Analysis / Review

We tested Tecno Pova 5 in its special Free Fire themed version. The intermediate cell phone has an appeal with a different design and comes with some extras for gamers, especially for those who are fans of this very popular game in Brazil.

The Pova 5’s design is reminiscent of mechas, the famous human-controlled robots that are popular in many games. This more eccentric look makes it clear that we are facing a gamer-type cell phone, despite the fact that there are no LEDs on the back because it is a more affordable product. However, there is a special steam chamber to deal with any heat in long games.

Here we have a 6.78-inch screen with Full HD+ resolution and 120 Hz refresh rate. The adopted panel is of the IPS LCD type and does not stand out in terms of brightness for the category. At least there’s good quality stereo sound with decent power to ensure a good multimedia experience.

The hardware consists of Helio G99 chipset and 8 GB of RAM. This combination, together with Tecno’s well-optimized software, guarantees a good multimedia experience with the cell phone holding several apps open at the same time. The large 6,000 mAh battery does a lot of battery life for up to two days and the 45W charger takes just over an hour to top it up.

The weakest part of the Tecno Pova 5 is its photographic set. At the rear there is a 50 MP camera and a blur with a 0.08 MP sensor. Don’t expect too much from the photos, although it doesn’t disappoint in low light. The front takes decent selfies, while the camcorder records at an unusual 1440p resolution.

Is it worth buying the Pova 5? If you care more regarding gaming than the camera, this will be a good choice. To check out all the details, just access our full review via the link below:
