Ministry of Health states that there are no intermediaries for nursing recruitment in Kuwait. The officials clarified that the applications will be accepted and the recruitment will be completed through the MoU with the government institutions of the sending countries of the nursing professionals.
The Ministry of Health said that from 2018, the nursing staff will be recruited directly and there will be no contract with recruitment companies. The Ministry of Health clarified the issue following it noticed that advertisements for the recruitment of nursing staff were being issued by intermediaries from some Asian countries. Officials said that do not be fooled by such advertisements and many of these advertisements are from 2014.
Recruitment of foreign nurses is done through the government institutions of the respective countries. There are specific processes and procedures for this, including serving advertisements. Nurses are recruited by completing a process such as personal interviews, tests and job evaluations. At present nursing staff recruitment is limited to countries like Pakistan and Jordan. Discussions are in progress with government institutions in Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Tunisia.
Ministry of Health said to understand the facts regarding nursing recruitment and avoid spreading false information. The ministry also requested to verify the accuracy and reliability of the information before disseminating it.
