A security guard claimed that he was expelled from the company in which he was working, following filming him singing at one of the performances of American star Taylor Swift in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in the United States, at the end of June, and asking fans to take pictures of him with the star he was guarding, despite his confirmation That he was “doing his job” perfectly.
Calvin Dunker was seen singing the lyrics to Taylor Swift’s Cruel Summer while guarding her party, in a video clip that went viral on the “Tik Tok” platform, which led to his official dismissal from work as a security guard at Best Crowd Management, due to breaking the company’s rule.
Dunker joined that security job, in order to attend Taylor Swift’s concerts for free, so this was the primary goal for him, and the instructions and rules of the security company he was working for included preventing taking any personal photos with any artist who was being guarded.
Dunker said in an explanatory video via “Tik Tok”, following his video of him singing spread, that during the star’s concert on June 23 and 24, he realized on the first night how close Taylor Swift was to him, so he wanted to document that happy moment for him and get pictures, At a time when he is not allowed by virtue of his work to use his mobile phone, so the next night, he handed over small pieces of paper to the audience in the front row, with his mobile phone number attached, and it was written in it that he was not allowed to take out his phone, so if Taylor Swift came behind him, directly Please take pictures of him with her and send them to his phone.
The security guard confirmed that he handed only two papers to two people in the front row on the second night, and they were nice to him, as he put it, according to what was reported in the British newspaper “Daily Mail”, indicating that he did not pass any message to the woman who published the “Tik Tok” video. He sings, but he was so happy to see him in a viral video.
He added, “Every photo I took that night was from behind the barricade like any other photo taken by a fan… I never took out my phone… Above all, I made sure Taylor Swift was safe and everything,” he added. I had a good time, and I was doing my job.”
In the video, Dunker said he offered to delete the post, and the company’s human resources representative said she would get back to him, but he hasn’t heard back in over a month.
Dunker confirmed via video that he was given a work shift at Ed Sheeran’s party in the same place on August 12, and was able to work in it, but he was then officially fired following a 7-hour shift.
Despite Dunker losing his job, he confirmed that he did not hold any grudge once morest the company, and that he just wanted to explain what happened to everyone, indicating that he very much enjoyed working on one of the most amazing concerts ever.
