The James Webb telescope has once once more delivered unprecedented and spectacular shots. This time, the space telescope focused on the Lyre Nebula with, as a result, very poetic shots.
The colors present in the image are attributed to the different emission lines in the near infrared spectrum, explains the astronomer of the Royal Observatory of Belgium Griet Van de Steene, in comments reported by RTBF.

Ten concentric arcs were also discovered in the halo outside the ring. They might indicate the presence of a companion star in the system which would explain the nebula’s ellipse shape.
