Perrone on loan to Las Palmas

Manchester City have prematurely extended Bernardo Silva’s contract, which originally ended in 2025. The 29-year-old offensive player signed a new working paper until 2026, as the English triple winner announced on Wednesday.

Silva has been with the Citizens since 2017, making him one of the longest-serving professionals in the current squad. Only Kevin De Bruyne (since 2015) and John Stones (2016) have worn the light blue jersey longer. “I had six incredible years at Manchester City and am happy to extend my time here,” said the Portuguese himself. With 308 appearances, 55 goals and 59 assists, Silva played a key role in the most successful period in the club’s history. He has collected a total of 14 titles since moving from AS Monaco in 2017.

At the beginning of the transfer phase this summer, there were growing signs that the Manchester chapter might be coming to an end. A transfer to FC Barcelona seemed likely, Silva is said to have even deposited his change request with the club. He explained the rethinking as follows: “Success makes you want more and this club gives me the opportunity to keep winning. I love the coach, my team-mates and the fans and I hope we can share even more great memories in the years to come.”

Manchester City loan Perrone to UD Las Palmas: Just one game

While one Man City professional extends his contract, another pulls away: Máximo Perrone leaves the club temporarily following just six months and a single assignment. The 20-year-old midfielder, who joined England in January for €11m from youth club Vélez Sarsfield, has joined UD Las Palmas on a loan until the end of the season.
