Work on the cycle path in Neuhofen an der Ybbs completed

Important investment in road safety and cycling infrastructure

St. Polten (OTS) – After asphalting the footpath and cycle path along the L 6125 state road between Neuhofen an der Ybbs and Pumperlberg, the work on the cycle path along the Kirchenweg in Neuhofen an der Ybbs has now been completed. The cycle path was designed with a construction structure that is 2.6 meters wide and has a shoulder of 0.35 meters on both sides. The company Riedler Kies & Bau from Winklarn and Strabag from St. Peter in der Au completed the work for the approximately 310 meter long cycle path in a construction period of around four months. The funding was processed by the Lower Austrian road service. The total costs amount to around 210,000 euros.

The market town of Neuhofen an der Ybbs and the state of Lower Austria made a further contribution to the climate-friendly development of the transport infrastructure with the bike connection between the Rauscherweg and the state road L 6113, which corresponds to today’s standard. The cycle path is part of the national connection between the towns of Neuhofen an der Ybbs and Euratsfeld. The outdoor pool and the sports field are located immediately to the west of the church path. The landowners provided the land required for construction and the market town of Neuhofen an der Ybbs redeemed it.
