2023 World Athletics Championships: Decisions for Gold in High Jump, Discus Throw, Obstacle Course, and 1500 Meters in Budapest

Four decisions in the fight for gold are on the agenda at the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest on Tuesday. In the high jump, discus throw, obstacle course (3000 meters) and over the 1500 meters, new world champions are determined in the Hungarian capital.

The German hopes include high jumper Tobias Potye and Vice European Champion Kristin Pudenz in the discus throw.

Faith Kipyegon is the favorite for gold in the 1,500 meters, while Soufiane El Bakkali and Lamecha Girma will be fighting for the title in the steeplechases. The German starter Karl Bebendorf was eliminated in the preliminary heat.
