The presidential spokesperson Gabriella Cerrutiwent out to respond this Tuesday, August 22 to Javier Milei for his expressions regarding the alleged looting and affirmed that “the images that are circulating on the networks are false” and that they went viral “in accounts that are clearly followers or employees” of the La Libertad Avanza candidate.
“There is no such looting: there are rumors and agitation through WhatsApp groups because they are profoundly undemocratic and want to destabilize“, the official complained on her Twitter account.
The dispute between the candidate for president for La Libertad Avanza and the national government occurred as a result of a message posted by Milei on her networksin which he drew a parallel between the alleged looting in various parts of Argentina and the socioeconomic crisis of 2001.
“It is tragic to see once more following 20 years the same images of looting that we saw in 2001. Poverty and looting are two sides of the same coin.“, had opined the libertarian aspirant to the Casa Rosada.

In this regard, Cerruti maintained that “throughout the weekend in various provinces and today in the city of Buenos Aires they tried to generate fear and uncertainty among merchants and neighbors“.
“Running between the premises, sending messages in groups and in some cases clearly committing crimes,” he explained.
The Government framed the images of looting in an alleged “media operation” by Javier Milei
“Now Javier Milei leaves to close the operation, making everything clear. These accounts that they are waving since Friday are from their followers. Democracy is a good for everyone, and we are going to defend it once morest these authoritarian and violent groups,” he added.
And he added: “No matter the political sign, the governors in all the provinces have warned that they are political and criminal actions instigated from this sector. The national and provincial security forces are guaranteeing order and tranquility, and they will continue to do so.”
“If there are criminals, they will go to jail. And if there are destabilizers and putschists they will have the response of the whole society that repudiates them. #40AñosDeDemocracia #DemocraciaParaSiempre #NuncaMás”, Cerruti closed his message.
