Moscow. 22 August. INTERFAX.RU – Russian military reportedthat fighters lifted into the air because of two unmanned aerial vehicles MQ-9 “Reaper” and TB2 “Bayraktar” in the Black Sea.
“On August 22, two unmanned aerial vehicles MQ-9 Reaper and TB2 Bayraktar, carrying out aerial reconnaissance in the area of the Crimean peninsula, were recorded over the Black Sea by means of controlling the airspace of the Russian Aerospace Forces,” the report says.
“In order to prevent a possible violation of the state border of the Russian Federation and counteract the conduct of electronic intelligence UAVs, two Russian fighters from the air defense duty forces were raised,” the ministry said.
According to the ministry, as a result of the actions taken, the drones “changed their flight direction and left the areas of aerial reconnaissance.”
