Nicolas Krügel will succeed Blaise Goetschin as head of the Banque Cantonale de Genève (BCGE). He will take up his post on March 6, 2024, the day following the bank’s 2023 results and following two months of preparation.
Nicolas Krügel spent the first twenty-seven years of his career with the Credit Suisse group. With a Master of Science from the University of Neuchâtel, Nicolas Krügel completed his training with an Executive Program from Stanford University.
Since 2020, he has administered and chaired the risk committee of BANK-now, a subsidiary of the Credit Suisse group specializing in consumer financing.
He is married and the father of two children. Currently residing in the canton of Neuchâtel, the future boss of BCGE will move his place of residence to Geneva.
Laurence Bezaguet has worked at the Tribune de Genève since 1995. Started his career at the Courrier before working for six years at the daily newspaper La Suisse. Was also a freelance journalist for eighteen months in Canada and wrote a book on the Traversée de la Rade, published in 1996, with former State Councilor David Hiler. More informations
