The Belgian manufacturer Ice-Watch has announced its very first connected watch equipped with the classic functionalities of such a device and offered at an affordable price.
The Ice Smart One benefits from the know-how of the Belgian watchmaker Ice-Watch while adapting to the connected watch and by offering a large number of functionalities ranging from sports monitoring to connected health through integration with the smartphones. All for less than €100.
A classic and elegant design
The Ice-Watch company has made a name for itself in the world by offering watches available in many colors at affordable prices. The firm has decided to expand its catalog and put its expertise at the service of a connected watch, the first in its history. A smartwatch announced as versatile, offering with this in mind a 40 x 44 mm aluminum frame for more resistance, whatever the activity carried out. Available in several colors, the Smart One also allows you to change its silicone strap on the fly by opting for another color.
The company has implemented a control wheel on the right side, allowing easy navigation through the various menus. Also, the watch offers a 1.85 inch 38mm wide HD display. It is IP68 certified, which means that it is very resistant to dust and can be submerged in water for several tens of minutes.
Many options
Where the Smart One wants to stand out, in addition to its colors, is the diversity of applications offered for an affordable price. Thus, for 99 €, the watch gives access to a sensor capable of monitoring the heart rate, blood pressure, menstrual cycle, oxygen level or even the wearer’s sleep. It can also recognize a hundred sports activities and offer monitoring of these via the dedicated application on iOS and Android or even suggest breathing exercises if it detects a heart rate that is too high.
The Smart One also has a so-called sedentary mode, which will send a notification if a person has not moved for a long time (for example while working at his desk) and will therefore offer some small exercises. The rest is just as classic for a connected watch, with control of calls, the smartphone camera, music playback or even application notifications directly from the wrist.
