About five foci of forest fires are fought this Monday in Córdoba. Due to the high temperatures and the wind, the authorities had warned regarding the extreme risk of these events occurring. There are families evacuated in the Calamuchita Valley.
Two of the fires were recorded in sectors corresponding to the jurisdiction of Villa Yacanto de Calamuchita, where the flames They reached two homes and there are families evacuated.
While in another sector of that mountain valley a fire broke out in a mountain area of Villa Ciudad de América, near the Los Molinos Dam, although in the last few minutes it was reported that the fire is contained.
In the early hours of the followingnoon, the Ministry of Government and Security of Córdoba reported that there is a new source of fire in the town of Juárez Celman, and another in the Los Morteritos area, in the jurisdiction of Mina Clavero.
Regarding the Yacanto outbreaks, the Secretary for Climate Risk Management, Catastrophes and Civil Protection, Claudio Vignetta, explained that one takes place in the town and the other in the Camino de Los Linderos area, which leads to Cerro Champaquí.

«Six fire stations are working on each of the fires, a fire hydrant plane plus the ETAC (Technical Team for Action once morest Catastrophes).“, the official explained.

Voracious forest fires broke out in Córdoba: the warning from the authorities
Earlier, the Government of Córdoba warned that an alert for extreme risk of forest fires is in force for the entire province due to the fact that the Weather forecast calls for strong winds for much of the followingnoon today and early tomorrow.

In the last week, at least five forest fires were registered in different parts of Córdoba, and although they are under investigation, the authorities confirm that more than 90% of these accidents are caused by man, with or without intention, so they ask to strengthen prevention measures.
