Galileo Resources PLC – a mining company focused on Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, South Africa and the United States – provides an update on the Kamativi permit in Zimbabwe. It indicates that to date, six holes have been drilled in the license, which represents more than 700 meters of diamond drilling. The holes intersected pegmatites approximately 111 meters wide with a “low enough” potassium to rubidium ratio, likely to contain lithium mineralization. Follow-up work is also planned in the northeast of the license area to further test the rare earth element content of the pegmatites. The company says the drillholes intersected “significantly” more pegmatite than expected and adds that it has “brought to light” certain areas of the license considered less promising.
