The Egyptian journalist, Muhammad Al-Baz, said that the Egyptian artist, Adel Imam, is under what appears to be “house arrest” in his home, on the orders of his family and children.
Commenting on the rumor of the leader’s death, Al-Baz said, “What are you in a hurry to do?”
Al-Baz said, during his presentation of the “End of the Day” program broadcast on the “Al-Nahar” satellite channel, that “Adel Imam is one of the important icons in our lives,” pointing out that “some accounts promoted news of his death, which forced Dr. Ashraf Zaki (Captain of Egyptian Artists) Let’s deny this news, and confirm that he is fine and in good health, and if there is a death or anything, we will announce it.
Al-Baz added, “Every little bit of people is promoting this, because people are interested in everything related to the leader, Adel Imam,” explaining: “Adel Imam will not return to work once more, and his brother said that he did not retire, but it is possible that he retired from forced retirement.”
Al-Baz pointed out that: “What is happening with the artist, Adel Imam, is as close as possible to house arrest,” commenting: “His children are protecting him, and his health condition may not allow him to leave and be involved in society.”
And he sent a message to the promoters of the rumors of death, saying: “His family says that he is sitting at home. Are you your money and his money?”, Noting that: “The reality says that Adel Imam ended the artistic career with forced retirement, and this is the year of life; Because he is over 85, and people should let him enjoy his last days.”
Al-Baz thanked the leader, saying: “Thank you for everything he did during his artistic career.”
