The faithful are stamping with impatience before following the romances on the farm of the farmers. Love is in the meadow returns this Monday evening, for an 18ᵉ season, on M6. After the portraits of farmers in search of love, broadcast at the end of January, viewers will be able to discover the opening of the mail, the speed dating and the first steps on the farm with the suitors and suitors. Karine Le Marchand will obviously be present to accompany and advise them in this quest for true love.

A season full of twists and turns

If they were 14 farmers looking for their soul mate during the portraits, they will only be 13 tonight. Baptiste, sheep breeder, lavender farmer and grain farmer, found love before the mail opened.

And this will not be the only twist of the season. “For the first time, a contender, who felt she was not the favorite, met another farmer from the same season. It was love at first sight between them, ”revealed Karine Le Marchand.

Another incident of this new season: David, a 42-year-old dairy and suckler cow breeder from Burgundy, has not received any mail. “He received letters from people aged 70, from people without papers who would like to come to France or letters from men when he is hetero”, confides Karine Le Marchand. Faced with this exceptional situation, the production of the show has decided to leave the farmer’s mailbox exceptionally open and does not rule out returning home to film his adventure.

M6’s flagship program

L’Amour est dans le pré is one of M6’s biggest hits, and has become an iconic program. “It pleases the public so much because the farmers are sincere. This program brings us together. We don’t just talk regarding love, but regarding the difficulties of farmers, loneliness, drought. The values ​​of work, love and solidarity are exploding”. This “show is also good for people who are at home”, recognizes Karine Le Marchand.

After 17 seasons, and soon 18, this program is still popular with the public. The 2022 edition gathered an average of 4.7 million viewers.

Farmers still as touching

In this first episode, viewers will attend the speed dating of Patrice, a 39-year-old suckler cow farmer in Normandy, Anaïs, a 35-year-old goat farmer and cheese maker in New Aquitaine and Jean-Paul, a 63-year-old grain farmer. in Ile-de-France.

The sequence with Patrice is particularly moving. Suffering from hemiplegia (paralysis of one or more parts on one side of the body), he confessed to never having known love. “I want to meet someone and hug them, that’s what I miss,” he admits. This made him very stressed before meeting his suitors, so much so that he did not think of giving them a gift. Fortunately, Karine Le Marchand will be able to reassure him and give him confidence. “They know you have a disability, they know you haven’t had a girlfriend, […] and it doesn’t scare them,” she reminds him. Words that moved the farmer to tears. It will be difficult not to have tears in your eyes from the first episode.

A more rhythmic show

As always, viewers will have the right to great moments of embarrassment and blanks during speed dating… Anaïs notably paid the price for suitors who were not always very comfortable. Obviously, Karine Le Marchand will be in the front row to comment on these meetings and delight the viewers.
