England-born indie pop band Low Girl has unveiled the music video for their new single ‘Pockets’ released on August 18th!
The directors are Mark Sloper, Toby Morgan and Sarah Cosgrove.
Low Girl is a band formed around multi-instrumentalist Sarah Cosgrove, and includes Toby Morgan, Tom Cosgrove, and Bradley Taylor.
The EP “Uh-Oh” released in January is a popular band. He is closer to the bedroom, and his sound is close to CHVRCHES and Metronomy, and the melody with a little shadow is attractive.
“Pockets is regarding trying to repress something that constantly resurfaces. It’s all regarding the allure of the ‘what-if’ and it’s a rose-tinted way of viewing those possibilities. My life was all over the place when I wrote this track, and there was a real sense of anticipation and being on the edge of something. I’m grappling with trying to figure out who this person I’ve bloomed into is, all the while trying to find some tangible light to look to. There’s an element of deluding yourself into believing in an impossible dream. I imagine this warm, settled imagery of the followingnoon and how I feel like I never quite reach it. My way of coping with all of those issues has been to write something where I kind of trivialise and try and laugh regarding it. Is that healthy? Who knows!”
‘Pockets’ is always trying to stifle something that resurfaces. This song is regarding the fascination of “what if” possibilities. When I wrote this song, my life was rocking up and down, and there was a sense of anticipation and a sense of being on the edge of a cliff. I’m trying to find some tangible light while figuring out who this person that I’ve blossomed is. There’s an element of deceiving myself into believing in impossible dreams, and I envision a warm, calm image of an followingnoon and myself feeling like I’ll never reach it. My way of dealing with all those issues is to write some kind of trifle and try to laugh it off. is it healthy? Who knows.
