For almost 40 years, the clubs from Winterstettenstadt have been ringing in their market and squatting festival weekend every year on the third Saturday in August at 6 a.m. with gun salutes from the castle hill.

WINTERSTETTENSTADT – Winterstettenstadt still has the privilege of market rights, which is rather unusual for a town with almost 600 inhabitants. So on August 19th and 20th there is once more a lot on offer for the visitors. The clubs build on the tried and tested with a varied program.
On Saturday morning from 10 a.m., the Schenk-Konrad costume group with the primary school children accompanied by the fanfare band Graf Humbrecht and the falcon group with live falcons should of course not be missing
The market on Saturday offers from 9 a.m., in addition to the Kramermarkt stalls, some interesting stalls with homemade products. The rope maker/basket maker and a turner complete the offer with their demonstrations. The two florists are also tying fresh bouquets of flowers directly at their stand.

On market day, the “Small City Museum” in the town hall is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. At the flea market, where children can offer their rarities for sale, there are definitely all sorts of beautiful things to be found once more.
Children will be well entertained on both days and, in addition to the carousel and a great range of make-up, they can go on a treasure hunt in the large sand heap behind the Riefhaus.
On Sunday they will also be entertained by PitPete and Andy with all sorts of practical jokes or a carriage ride around Winterstettenstadt.
The Winterstetter organ grinder Anita Steinhauser entertains the market visitors throughout the day. For all hungry festival visitors there will be tents and cider, sour tripe, pizza and on both days tried and tested sausage stalls and lunch. There is also plenty of coffee and cake.
On Saturdays, the Weinlaube and the bar in the evening are definitely good tips.
The “Schwäbisch 7” entertain the visitors with the best brass music and the Virginia Line Dancers are happy regarding many fellow dancers. In the evening, festivalgoers can look forward to entertainment with the group “RAGMEN”.
Before Winterstetter’s historic steamroller “Wally” leads the procession of vintage cars past the fairground on Sunday, a church service is celebrated in front of the Riefhaus with a wreath of singers.
