(CNN) A two-headed snake has returned to the Cameron Park Zoo in Waco, Texas following more than two years of hiatus. It seems to attract the attention of visitors.

The name of the snake is “Pancho and Lefty”. Named following the country music song “Pancho and the Left Handed”.

The harmless western rat snake was found by a local resident when it was a few weeks old and donated to the zoo.

Seven years later. The body length, which was regarding 20 centimeters at the time, has grown to regarding 90 centimeters.

Asked by CNN whether the left or right head is stronger, Bryan Henry, who oversees reptile care at the zoo, said: “The right head is dominant, but the left one also has a will. ” explains.

The problem arises when the “Lefty” head and the “Pancho” right head face different directions. When that happens, they get caught in obstacles and injure themselves.

In 2021, the wound became so severe that he had to stop exhibiting at the zoo and concentrate on treatment and recuperation.

Both heads feed, but the dominant right head sometimes pulls the left head away from the food, Henry said. Although the right head eats more, it all ends up in the same stomach.
