Mourning Internet! ‘Cheems’, the most viral dog on the internet, died Friday morning following surgery for the cancer she suffered from. Her owner announced the canine’s death with an emotional farewell.
“He fell asleep Friday morning during his last thoracentesis surgery. Originally, we wanted to arrange chemotherapy or other possible treatment for him following this operation, but it’s too late now,” the owner said.
How was the farewell to Balltze?
Balltze or Cheems for most users had a cancer diagnosis and had been undergoing medical treatment for six months. After his death, Kathy, who owned him, asked to be remembered with joy.

Balltze was the name of the dog that went viral on the internet, following her adoptive ‘mother’ Kathy, a Hong Kong citizen, took a photo of her in 2017 that was commented on by several users.
‘Cheems’ was adopted by Kathy when he was one year old, he was a shiba dog and was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago. On the Instagram account that the owner opened, she might see the dog’s day-to-day life.
