Microsoft continues to work on its ecosystem and its software to make them always compatible with each other. And it is Microsoft Teams that is evolving since it is now possible to stream your Xbox games within the software known for teamwork.

Stream your games in Microsoft Teams, it’s now possible

Microsoft has added a new feature to the Xbox Game Bar on PC that lets you stream its games to Microsoft Teams. All you have to do is sign in to your Microsoft account and download the widget Microsoft Teams Play Together for free on the store.

Once the widget is downloaded and installed, a new “Play Together” option appears on the Game Bar (accessible with the combination Windows + G on the keyboard) and allows you to create a group with friends. It is ultimately a function quite similar to that of using Discord for Xbox.

It is thus possible to share your game screen via Teams while playing on a Windows 11 PC and at the same time continue the conversation with video calls that you will see via the Game Bar video overlay. You can generate and share a link with anyone and invite up to 20 people to follow the stream.

Unfortunately, the stream seems for the moment limited to 30 FPS at best and since Microsoft Teams is rather used in a work setting, the use of this option risks remaining rather confidential compared to Discord or Twitch.
