President El-Sisi spoke during an inspection tour of the Egyptian Military Academy, saying regarding the electricity file: “When we talk regarding electricity, we need 18 thousand tons of diesel per day in order to operate the stations at full capacity in order to provide energy in light of the high temperatures… We are talking regarding more than half a million A ton of diesel per month..their price is regarding 300-350 million dollars..This is not the gas that we, God Almighty, produce from. It provides a large part of the need for natural gas..If it were not for our production, we would be in a major crisis.”
President El-Sisi added: “Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds.. I wanted to reassure you.. The prices of commodities may be high, and this is something that is appreciated.. The government is working on a set of measures to mitigate the effects of this crisis.”
