After the identification of a case of denguean operation of mosquito control is scheduled for the night of Monday August 21 to Tuesday August 22, in the Place du Foin sector, in the Krutenau district, in Strasbourg (Bas-Rhin).

As explained by the Regional Health Agency and the prefecture of the department in a joint press release, this operation aims “to destroy and prevent the proliferation of tiger mosquitoes potentially carrying the disease”.

Affected residents asked to close their windows

Residents and establishments of the streets concerned must: “stay inside the buildings, close the windows during the intervention, rinse the garden furniture with water or bring in the animal bowls”.

“A security perimeter in the affected and neighboring streets will be established in order to avoid exposure of the population to the treatment product for the duration of the intervention and for the following 30 minutes”, add the prefecture and the ARS. .
