The Egyptian artist Ashraf Abdel Ghafour revealed that he feels “pity” towards his daughter, the star Reham Abdel Ghafour, for entering the world of art, given the many difficulties and hardships she endures as a result of her work in this medium.
Abdel Ghafour said in televised statements, when talking regarding his daughter Reham, that she is “kind, and her personality is simple and unsolid. I pity her. People only see the final result. You don’t see what happens behind the scenes.”
The 81-year-old Egyptian actor indicated that he refused his daughter’s request to enter art during her studies. Because of his fear of the difficulties of the profession, in addition to his fear of her academic and professional failure.
And he continued, in his interview with the “Ninth” program on the Egyptian Channel One: that he refused to enter his children, Reem and Tamer, into art in childhood, despite receiving many attractive offers because of his great fear for them.
He said, “I refused to represent Tamer and Reem in children’s programmes. I was afraid for their childhood due to the troubles and responsibilities of the profession.”
He pointed out that he did not live with his daughter Reham as an artist. Because she got married when she entered the artistic community directly.
Abdel Ghafour, the father, confirmed that he was “happy with the success achieved by his daughter Reham, and that what pleased him most was her behavior in her early years and the stage of her spread, as she was smart and knew how to choose her roles,” he said.
Abdel Ghafour explained during the meeting that he intended to keep his family away from the limelight and the media. Because mixing artistic and social life confuses the artist. (fuchsia)
