The Faculty of Arts and Sciences of the Université de Montréal will offer the short program in applied computer science at the Brossard campus as of winter 2024.
This training, intended for people who wish to change careers or improve their skills by learning a new language, benefits from a flexible program structure and includes a wide choice of courses in various computer fields given in the evening. Courses offered include programming languages, computer systems administration, multimedia, and Internet programming.
Michel Boyer, head of training, is delighted with the opening of the program at the Brossard campus. This place is an interesting option for residents of the South Shore of Montreal who would like to acquire training that will prepare them for the job market specific to the South Shore. Directly connected to the Metropolitan Express Network, this campus welcomes the student community in bright, state-of-the-art facilities, in addition to offering the same services as those of the mountain campus.
According to Michel Boyer, “the certificate was designed to learn regarding computers or to modernize and broaden your knowledge in several computer specialties. Those registered will acquire practical training which can supplement basic training and constitute an additional asset in their professional competence”.
Studying computer science at the Université de Montréal means attending an establishment that ranks very favorably in the rankings of the best universities offering training in the discipline. The quality of the offer enables graduates to fill an annual need for approximately 7,000 jobs – in Quebec alone – among the most interesting and best paid in the information and communication technologies sector.
THE applications for admission have been received since August 15. For any questions, contact Michel Boyer, program manager.
