The bank, however, said it had contacted the authorities but had not asked for police to be stationed near its ATMs. By Wednesday morning, the bank announced that the error had been corrected and warned its customers that the transactions would be charged to their accounts. “These transfers and withdrawals are posted to the customers’ accounts today,” the creditor said.
