The world premiere of “Rock me Aamdeus – The Falco Musical” is fast approaching: On October 7th, the latest VBW in-house production will celebrate its world premiere in Ronacher (1st district). Rehearsals just started.
At the start of rehearsals, VBW musical director Christian Struppeck welcomed director Andreas Gergen’s creative team and the actors to the Ronacher’s rehearsal stage. The actors, above all Moritz Mausser, Alex Melcher, Andreas Lichtenberger, Katharina Gorgi, Tania Golden, Franz Frickel, Simon Stockinger and Martin Enenkel, were looking forward to an exciting rehearsal period and the upcoming world premiere.
All the big Falco hits – and brand new songs
The new in-house production of the Vereinigte Bühnen Wien tells the story of the rise of the young Viennese musician Hans Hölzel to world stardom. The piece is intended to inspire the audience with an “impressive stage show, rousing choreographies, an elaborate stage design, dazzling costumes and of course Falco’s unforgettable music”. In addition to the greatest hits, the musical also features four brand new songs composed for the show by original Falco composers Ferdi Bolland and Rob Bolland. falco.musicalvienna.at
