Ryanair Mocks Couple’s In-Flight Engagement: A Controversial Act or Harmless Fun?

An Irish couple have been mocked by Ryanair following getting engaged on one of the low-cost airline’s planes. The little spade came following Lee shared a photo of himself and his new fiancée following proposing on a commercial flight.

“I just proposed to Leah on a Ryanair flight with her family on board. Luckily she said yes,” Lee wrote alongside the photo. When a Twitter user questioned where and when the request was made, Lee replied, “Yeah, we both like to travel, so it made sense to do it like that, since it’s something that we like to do.”

The proposal appears to have been a big hit, judging by the other photo lucky Leah-Lou posted with Lee and their baby on a beach.

However, a bit later, Ryanair’s Twitter account upped the ante: “Leah, blink twice for random seat assignment.”

In response, many netizens lashed out at the airline, which is notorious for charging its passengers an extensive list of options, including seat assignments: “Surprised you don’t have a charge engagement in place,” one user wrote on Twitter.

This isn’t the first time the company’s account has taken a swipe at users who dare to mention them on Twitter.

At your peril !
