The Minister of Economy of Río Negro, Luis Vaisberg traveled to Buenos Aires to find an economic respite following the measures resolved by the National Government following the STEP. During this day, the official met with Governor Arabela Carreras, while the state union ATE requested an urgent call for parity “to specify a salary increase that allows members to face the 22% devaluation.”

«Logically It is an impact for the provinces, That is why we were analyzing it with Governor Carreras, how we have our accounts, our projections, and how it can impact us,” Vaisberg said.

The official explained that «the fact of having an order in the management of the fiscal accounts, many permanent alerts and reviewing the projectionsmakes it possible for us to move through this volatility in the macroeconomic variables”.

Under that situation, Vaisberg traveled to the Federal Capital with the mission of setting up meetings at the Ministry of the Interior and with Banco Patagoniafinancial agent of Río Negro, to discuss “interest rates, what perspectives do you see, what alternatives are there, and in the event that we have to act or have to go out on the market, what would be the most convenient way to do it, to to be able to go through these moments.”

He also pointed out that it will seek to “manage and activate different tools that allow us to be alert as soon as possible, in case this continues to worsen or harm income, or to issues that have to do with the macroeconomics.

On the other hand, he explained that the agenda will continue with other meetings with companies and authorities of Banco Nación to “bring a bit of peace of mind in these moments of so much uncertainty.”

This morning The Association of State Workers (ATE) indicated that it will take protest measures if there is no call for an urgent joint meeting to specify a salary increase, “that allows affiliates to face the 22% devaluation that has already begun to be transferred to basic necessities.”

In the last parity, ATE and the Government agreed on a salary increase of 8% in June, 6% and 9% in August.

However, the union led by Rodrigo Vicente warned that this guideline is practically deactivated with the measures adopted on Monday at the request of the Monetary Fund. The union anticipated that if it does not find an answer, it will analyze the start of a protest plan.

«In the local markets and supermarkets it already began a violent increase in prices on basic necessities that directly attack the pocket of state-owned companies,” said Vicente.
