This Tuesday evening, around 11 p.m., the firefighters of Fumay and Marcinelle were called for a fire which reportedly broke out on a building and a car, avenue de l’Espérance in Fleurus. On the spot, the firefighters found that it was actually not one, but nine vehicles in flames. These vehicles were UPS delivery vans and were destroyed, and the building in front of which they were parked was only slightly damaged.
A dozen firefighters were deployed to bring the blaze under control.

According to our information, this fire was of criminal origin. Surveillance videos would show the presence of a man equipped with a can of gasoline. This would have indeed targeted the building and the cars.
An investigation has been opened.
