Belinda Bencic (WTA 14) was once once more unlucky at the WTA 1000 tournament in Cincinnati. The eastern Swiss failed in the first round because of the Spanish qualifier Christina Bucsa (WTA 68). A double fault sealed Bencic’s 6-4, 3-6, 2-6 defeat, which was emblematic of the whole game.
