Russia may reconsider its decision not to use banned cluster munitions in Ukraine. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu spoke regarding this.
“Russia did not use cluster munitions during the JMD in Ukraine, this decision can be reconsidered,” Sergei Shoigu said during the Moscow Conference on International Security. It is broadcast by the Russia 24 TV channel.
The United States has sent banned cluster munitions to Kyiv. The UN condemned Kyiv’s decision to use these shells. The use of cluster munitions is prohibited by the 2008 convention. 111 countries have joined it, but Russia and Ukraine are not among them.
