The Noroeste newspaper cited information from the authorities of Sinaloa, Mexico, to report that the young woman would only be 21 years old.

The first media reports indicate that the daughter of Luis Ángel Franco would have died in an accident on the coast of Mazatlán, in northwestern Mexico.
At around 5:30 in the morning of August 14, he went swimming in Playa Brujas, Cerritos (Sinaloa) together with another person. So far, it is unknown what happened in the sea, but both bathers were at risk of losing their lives. One of them might be rescued and, unfortunately, María Fernanda drowned.
Local media report that the young woman will be veiled at a private funeral service.

Several members of the group that ‘El Flaco’ led for years expressed their condolences through social networks.
Samuel Epifanio, for example, wrote on his Instagram profile: “There are no words of comfort for you and Maricruz. To me, who had to meet her girl since she was very young, I can’t believe it. We are with you from the bottom of our hearts, we send you our most sincere condolences.”
For his part, Geovanni Mondragón sent him his “deepest condolences” and “a big hug.”
