National player Denis Zakaria is relaunching his career on the Mediterranean coast. The midfielder signed a 5-season contract with AS Monaco, who finished sixth in the 2022/23 Ligue 1 season. In the principality, he not only meets his national colleagues Philipp Köhn and Breel Embolo, but also the former YB trainer Adi Hütter.
Zakaria already worked with the Austrian at Borussia Mönchengladbach, where he had his most successful time to date.

Most recently, the career of the 26-year-old from Geneva had stalled. Since his move from Gladbach to Juventus Turin a year and a half ago, things have not gone according to plan. While he was an undisputed regular with the “foals”, he only appeared 15 times for the “old lady”.
The loan to Chelsea did not bring the desired turnaround either, instead only 11 appearances (7 in the league).
