Someone once said that the most serious disease in the world is poverty, and this may be true. Recently, a man in Vietnam tried his best to collect money so that his son might take an ambulance to the hospital for emergency treatment. In the end, although the son was really sent to the hospital for emergency treatment, he still died in the end. But at this time, the man had no money to buy a coffin for his son, and originally planned to take away his son’s body in a Styrofoam box. Fortunately, the local volunteer unit came to help following learning regarding it.

According to the “docbao” report, a 36-year-old G male living in Ca Mau Province, Vietnam, because his wife gave birth prematurely, his son was declared by the doctor to have little hope of survival. In order to save his child, G man hopes to take his son to Ho Chi Minh City for treatment, but in the middle, he must rely on an ambulance for transfer. For this reason, G man, whose monthly salary is only 5 million VND (approximately NT$6,700), cobbled together an ambulance fee of 16 million VND (equivalent to approximately NT$21,452). The son arrived in Ho Chi Minh City.

But even though the son arrived at a large hospital in Ho Chi Minh City for treatment, he was eventually pronounced dead by doctors. At this time, Man G had no money on him, so he might not afford to pay for his son’s coffin, so Man G planned to store his son’s body in a Styrofoam box, and planned to take the bus back to Jin’ou with the box in his arms.

Later, following the whole incident was exposed, the local volunteer unit came to help, not only helping to contact the ambulance, but also helping to buy a coffin out of their own pockets, so that the G man and the child might return home smoothly.

The report also pointed out that the volunteers found that the ambulance was suspected of overcharging. When the man G arrived in Ho Chi Minh City, the ambulance operator also asked the man to pay another 1 million Vietnam on the grounds of “delivering an extra adult”. Dong (approximately NT$1,340) is the fare. And the volunteers also noticed that the cost of the route from Ca Mau to Ho Chi Minh City is only 10 million VND (equivalent to regarding NT$13,400), and there will be a professional doctor on board.

The ambulance operator who suspected that there was an overcharge also responded followingwards that he felt sorry for the death of G boy and child, but there was no overcharge in the middle. Not only was there professional medical staff on board, but the equipment was also very complete. Oxygen was continuously supplied to the children, and finally everyone arrived at the hospital in Ho Chi Minh City smoothly.
