Xiaomi announced the CyberDog 2 this Monday (14th) during a brand event. This is the second version of the model that was launched by the manufacturer last year. According to what the company itself released, this new model is even more like a real animal.

In general, the robotic dog measures 36.7 cm, weighs 8.9 kg and is the size of a Doberman. Also, it has an open source code so it can be improved by developers. The device can be controlled by voice commands as well as gestures.

CyberDog 2 can also be configured to activate or deactivate other smart devices in the house, such as televisions, lights, curtains, among others. Likewise, there are 19 sensors so that the robot dog can sense the owner’s presence.

It is also worth mentioning that the dog can perform acrobatics such as backflips and even skateboarding. Furthermore, it comes with a 13MP AI camera, a 1MP RGB camera and also a fisheye camera. Moving the machine is possible thanks to CyberGear.

This micro-actuator provides a more realistic behavior to the dog. In this way, he can dance, get up following falling, sit down and also give his paw. Available for the Chinese market, CyberDog 2 can be purchased for 13 thousand yuan (BRL 8,867 in direct conversion).
