Abu Dhabi – Mubasher: The net profit of Abu Dhabi National Energy Company “TAQA” decreased by 16.8 percent at the end of the second quarter of this year, compared to the profits of the same period last year.
The financial statements of the company listed on the Abu Dhabi Securities Market indicated that the company’s profits attributable to the shareholders of the parent company amounted to 1.92 billion dirhams.
By the end of the second quarter of this year, the company’s revenues increased by 5 percent to 13.7 billion dirhams, and the cost of sales increased by 11 percent to 10.39 billion dirhams.
The Board of Directors of Abu Dhabi National Energy Company “TAQA” approved, earlier, the distribution of interim cash dividends to shareholders at a value of 0.65 fils per share for the second quarter of this year.
The total profits distributed amounted to 730.82 million dirhams, while the company’s capital amounted to 112.434 billion dirhams.
The company’s profits jumped to 11.572 billion dirhams by the end of the first quarter of 2023, compared to profits of 1.971 billion dirhams achieved at the end of the same period in 2022, a growth of 487 percent.
