Gold prices in Egypt witnessed fluctuations in their movements for a long period of time, and this fluctuation was permeated by some price jumps recently, and regarding 4 months ago, local gold prices witnessed moderation in their trading, and the price jumps, whether in the rise or fall from the markets gradually disappeared, before we witnessed movements It was widespread during the Eid al-Adha holiday due to weak liquidity in the market and the increase in speculation during the festive period, but soon the price returned to stability following that.

More than a month ago, the most common local 21 carat gold prices entered a narrow range of trading between 2150-2175 pounds per gram, and settled within this region, ignoring all gold movements in the global market, according to analytical monitoring by Gold Billion.

It is worth noting that the price of spot gold in the global market during this month witnessed significant movements due to the different expectations of the markets regarding the future interest rate and monetary policy by the Federal Reserve Bank. During the month of July, gold prices rose by approximately 2.5%, realizing gains of more than $46 per ounce.

Since the beginning of August, spot gold prices have decreased by regarding 2%, losing regarding $42 per ounce of its value. Throughout this period, gold prices in Egypt settled for moving within a range not exceeding EGP 25 per gram, ignoring the sharp fluctuations in global gold prices.
