Bhalla said: “Drinking coffee slowly exposes your teeth to prolonged exposure to sugar once it is added. This provides more time for the bacteria in your mouth to feed on the sugar and produce acids that can damage enamel.
He recommended: “Reduce the time your teeth come into contact with coffee by drinking it more quickly and rinse your mouth with water following drinking coffee to help neutralize acidity and remove staining compounds.
