Muscat: An explosion in a restaurant in Muscat Governorate, Oman. The initial information given by the Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority is that cooking gas has exploded.
The blast occurred at a restaurant in the southern Mabela area of Seeb, a province in Muscat Governorate. According to a news release issued by the Civil Defense and Ambulance Authority, around eighteen people were injured in the blast. The notification also said that the buildings near the restaurant where the accident took place and several vehicles were damaged.
In addition to the previous report, the authority’s teams in various governorates dealt with the accident, as neighboring buildings and a number of vehicles were affected. The accident also resulted in the injury of (18) people, whose injuries ranged from light to moderate.

At the same time, the death toll in rain and flash floods in Oman has risen to three. The bodies of three people who were missing following the vehicle fell into the water were found. There is a suggestion not to cross the streams known as wadis, which are formed by sudden flash of water.
This weather condition will continue till today evening in Oman. Motorists should also exercise caution due to reduced visibility. Fishermen are also cautioned. Currently no rain or damage continues. According to the Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of severe thunderstorms in Jizan, Asir and Al-Baha parts of Saudi Arabia. There is also a warning that rain clouds will form in Al Sharqiya, Najran, Tabuk and Madinah areas.
