The German record champions’ new competitive season began with a false start. The FC Bayern Munich lost the DFL-Supercup once morest RB Leipzig 0:3. With Konrad Laimer (Bavaria) or Xavier Schlager and Nicolas Seiwald (Leipzig) three Austrian national team players were in action. Striker-Star also came to his Bayern debut Harry Kane.
Leipzig with a dream start
The underdog made the perfect start. 3 minutes: After an actually harmless free kick from the left, the ball suddenly lands Dani Olmo and the Spaniard nets easily. 1:0 for the lawn ball athletes.
16 minutes, almost equalizing: Seiwald with a cheap ball loss in midfield. Mathys Tel can not successfully complete Bayern’s fast switching game, fails Janis Blaswich.
FCB tried to take control of the game. Individual chances to score – especially from the French Tel – were unsuccessful. Then the 44th minute: Another Leipzig free kick from the half-field, used once more Elm tree a Bayern defense that defends far too passively. Half-time standings: 2:0 for Leipzig.

Dani Olmo caused Bavarian boos twice in the first half, and his third strike was to follow in the second half.
Olmo ruins Kane’s party
The second half began with a cheer from around 75,000 Bayern fans. The reason for this was not a goal, but a newcomer Kane began to warm up. In the 64th minute, the “Harry, Harry” calls were heard: the 100 million euro man made his first appearance in the dress of the German record champions.

Arrived in Munich at 2 a.m., a few hours later on duty for Bayern: Harry Kane.
Instead of starting the Kane party, however, the Leipzig team once once more proved to be a spoilsport. 68 minutes: After a handball from the substitute Noussair Mazraoui might Elm tree complete the hat trick with a penalty. Taunting “goodbye” chants erupted from the “bulls” sector.
RB Leipzig wins DFL Supercup
Nothing should change in Leipzig’s three-goal lead. For the first time since 2019, the Supercup winner is not called Bayern Munich. After two victories in the DFB Cup, it is the third major title for the Red Bull club from Saxony, which was founded in 2009.
