Focus on the Tauern and Karawanken Autobahn
Vienna (OTS) – It backs up on the way south. As reported by the ÖAMTC, numerous streams of summer holidaymakers are coming from Bavaria, especially from the A8, and these traffic jams will then also continue on Austrian motorways. Salzburg and Carinthia are currently the most affected.
The most important traffic jams
* A1, west autobahn at Walserberg and at the Salzburg junction (A1/A10) *A10, Tauern autobahn throughout, there are numerous block clearances in front of the tunnel areas
*A11, Karawanken Autobahn, before the Karawanken Tunnel
High temperatures – high risk of accidents
The ÖAMTC appeals to all road users to remain calm and to drive with foresight, even at high temperatures. Please make sure you bring enough drinks with you, allow for buffer times and don’t forget to take breaks!
