The Saemangeum World Scout Jamboree ended its 12-day journey with a K-POP performance in Seoul.

On the followingnoon of the 11th at Seoul World Cup Stadium, along with the closing ceremony, the K-POP performance was followed by performances by K-POP stars with regarding 40,000 Jamboree members from 43 countries gathered.

In his farewell address, World Scout Federation Secretary-General Ahmed Alhendawi encouraged the Scouts by saying, “You have faced the ordeal and turned it into a rather special experience. This is the first ‘Traveling Jamboree’.”

Prime Minister Han Deok-soo said at the closed consulate, “I feel sorry for the hardships the scouts have suffered due to unprecedented heat waves and typhoons caused by climate change throughout the tournament.”

After the closing ceremony, a K-Pop Super Live Concert was held featuring 19 teams including New Jeans, NCT Dream, ITZY, Mamamoo, and Ive.

Youth members waved national flags, rode the rhythm, and waved colorful glow sticks vigorously while riding the waves.

Actor Gong Myung, ITZY’s Yuna, and New Jeans’ Hyein, who hosted the event, said, “The Jamboree means a fun game and a delightful party, so it fits perfectly with this place today.” It is.

The performance was scheduled to be held at the Saemangeum campsite on the 6th, but it was changed to Jeonju World Cup Stadium on the 11th due to concerns over heat illness due to weather conditions, and then changed to Seoul World Cup Stadium due to the typhoon north.

After the closing ceremony, the Scouts from each country will move to their existing lodgings or lodgings that are comfortable to prepare for departure according to the country’s schedule, and have time for personal maintenance such as organizing luggage.

Afterwards, departures begin according to each country’s plan, and some countries stay in Korea longer to continue their schedules such as local culture and experiences.

President Yoon Seok-yeol asked Prime Minister Han Deok-soo today to ensure the safety of the World Jamboree Closing Ceremony and K-POP concert to be held at Sangam World Cup Stadium in Seoul.

Kim Eun-hye, chief of public relations at the Presidential Office, said in a written briefing that “President Yoon Seok-yeol instructed scouts from all countries to support accommodation, transportation, and tourism as much as possible even following the closing ceremony until the final departure.”
