Elon Musk wrote on the platform X (formerly Twitter) that he owns that he spoke with both Giorgia Meloni and the minister of culture in the government led by her, Gennaro Sangiuliano, and claims that they agreed on an “epic” site “, reports the DPA and Agerpres agencies.
Without revealing the exact location, he added that “everything in the frame will be ancient Rome, so nothing modern”, thus triggering speculation that it might be the Colosseum in Rome, where gladiator fights took place in antiquity.
The fight will be managed by my and Zuck’s foundations (not UFC).
Livestream will be on this platform and Meta. Everything in camera frame will be ancient Rome, so nothing modern at all.
I spoke to the PM of Italy and Minister of Culture. They have agreed on an epic location.

However, Sangiuliano denied this version, stating that the match between Musk and Zuckerberg “will not take place in Rome”, but confirmed that he had “a long and friendly conversation” with the billionaire who owns companies such as Tesla or SpaceX. Meloni did not comment.
Musk also wrote on X that “we are thinking regarding how to organize a great charitable and historical event while fully respecting and protecting the sites” and specified that his and “Zuck’s” foundations will handle the management of the fight.
According to the DPA agency, it seems that there is a dispute regarding the destination of the funds collected at the event. The culture minister said there were plans to donate a large sum, “many millions of euros”, to two large children’s hospitals in Italy, while Musk wrote on his social network that “all proceeds go to veterans”.

How the story of the cage fight between Musk and Zuckerberg began
The news regarding a fight between the two billionaires, probably one of the most bizarre of the year, came following on June 20 a user he said jokingly to Musk on Twitter before Threads launched that he shouldn’t mess with the Facebook boss because Zuckerberg is good at ju-jitsu.
Musk replied to that commenter, “I’m ready for a cage fight lol,” referring to the cages in which MMA fights take place.
The next day, Mark Zuckerberg, who is also a fan of martial arts and posts videos of fights, responded on Instagram with a screenshot of Elon Musk’s message along with the message: “Send my location.”
Musk replied: “Vegas Octagon,” referring to the venue where mixed martial arts (MMA) championship matches take place.
Musk, 51, grew up in South Africa and said he participated in street fights as a youngster, but he also recently wrote that he only gets exercise when he grabs his kids and throws them in the air “.
Musk is much taller than Zuckerberg at 186cm compared to 171cm. Zuckerberg is 39 years old and is passionate regarding ju-jitsu, winning some tournaments. He is apparently into mixed martial arts (MMA) and has been training for some time.
