At Florian Silbereisen’s “Schlagerstrandparty” Jürgen Drews announced the end of his career in 2022. In the new edition, the 78-year-old returns as a viewer.
Gelsenkirchen – With the “Schlagerstrandparty” the first on Saturday (August 12) shows the big summer highlight of the “Die Feste” shows with Florian Silbereisen (42). The recording with a number of genre greats took place on July 15th – and caused a big surprise: As the first photos of the event show, Mallorca veteran Jürgen Drews (78) was also among the spectators.

In 2022, the “King of Mallorca” announced the end of his emotional career at the “Schlagerstrandparty”, and a few months later, on October 6, 2022, he was on stage live with his band for the last time. After that, Jürgen Drews almost completely disappeared from the scene. Most recently, he even gave close friends a headache when they mightn’t even reach the hit star on his birthday.

However, the 78-year-old did not let himself be taken away from Florian Silbereisen’s “Schlagerstrandparty” this year. In the Gelsenkirchen amphitheater, however, the “Ein Bett im Kornfeld” interpreter did not perform, but was present as a spectator to keep his fingers crossed for his daughter Joelina (27), who performed a duet with Lucas Cordalis (56) in the hit show. “When Joelina told us that she was allowed to appear on Florian’s show, my wife Ramona and I immediately said: We’ll definitely come along,” said the 78-year-old bild.de.

It was still emotional: a photo that MDR Shared via Instagram, among other things, shows Jürgen Drews with tears in his eyes. They probably apply to his daughter Joelina, whose appearance the hit star seems to be really proud of. On site, the cult singer also took the time for the fans, who were allowed to take photos with him. “I really enjoyed the so-called bath in the crowd. And I saw so many colleagues once more,” he reports bild.de.
There, the audience’s favorite also reveals how much he misses the stage: “In contrast to the past, I now lead a real retired life, as I always say. But thank God I still exist.
