The DOC (Finger in the Ear of the Bald) in Saint-Germain-d’Ectot, commune of Aurseulles (Calvados) is behind a project to develop the public space adjoining the building which houses its associative café, in a former dairy, among others, in close collaboration with the municipality of Aurseulles.
“We need motivated hands for a few collective missions, in particular to launch the site at the end of August. So if the desire tickles you, do not hesitate, ”assure the organizers.
A multifunctional space, a place of creativity
The objective is to transform this space, currently little used and unattractive, into a new space, reinvested by the inhabitants and by the regular activities of the artistic and cultural season of the DOC.
This project is also intended to be a place of meeting and participation in the various construction sites. The culmination will take the form of an artistic installation intended for public use, envisaged as a multifunctional space, between street furniture and vegetated sculpture.
In addition, a fresco on the facades of the building, deploying a motif that tells what the DOC is, between sound encounter, social bond and territory.
The purpose of this project is to respond to the desires for use of the public space located in the immediate vicinity of the DOC, while also being accessible to all residents. The developed space will be a place of meeting, relaxation, conviviality and creativity.
To make all this a reality, an artistic and technical team has been formed, to which DOC volunteers will come to lend a hand: the artists editors, authors of the Collective, the urban landscaper Maël Trémaudan and the muralist painter Mural Art – Miguel do Amaral Coutinho.

The Place du Village project is co-financed by the European Union (FEADER – LEADER), the State (Fund for the Development of Associative Life), the municipality of Aurseulles and the association Le DOC.
